Nicholas L. Reed
Attorney at Law
Nick is an attorney licensed to practice law in Illinois, with a focus on estate planning and trust administration. With a diverse professional journey that began as an engineer for six years, followed by three years as a financial advisor, Nick found his true calling in law, blending his technical and financial expertise to serve his clients in unique ways.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Nick later pursued his passion for the law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He is an active member of the Illinois Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Winnebago Bar Association.

For Nick, the most rewarding part of being an attorney is helping others. When it comes to estate planning, he is dedicated to educating clients and working collaboratively to design tailored and creative plans that protect their legacy. In trust administration, he steps in to ensure everything is managed smoothly after a client’s passing—handling obligations, distributions, and honoring final wishes—allowing loved ones to focus on what truly matters during a challenging time.

Originally from Wisconsin, Nick now calls Rockford, IL, home, where he lives with his wife Ellie, a second grade teach at St. Bridget Catholic School, and their four children: Harper, identical twins Shelby & Peyton, and their son Finn.
